Experience the Maryland State Fair: Summer Fun in Timonium

Don’t Miss the Maryland State Fair This Weekend

At Xscape 2 Nature, we love celebrating everything that makes Maryland special, and the Maryland State Fair is one of our favorite local traditions. Happening September 4–7, 2025, at the Timonium fairgrounds, it’s a weekend full of rides, food, music, and community fun — a perfect way to enjoy the last days of summer.

A Stroll Through the Fairgrounds

Walking through the fairgrounds, we can’t help but soak in the sights, sounds, and smells that make the fair so memorable. Families laugh as they ride the Dragon Coaster and watch the Ferris wheel light up the sky. Thrill-seekers head straight for the Rip Tide Roller Coaster or Space Port, while younger children explore Kiddie Land, full of colorful rides just their size. Experiencing the fair is a reminder of how outdoor spaces, whether a fairground or a backyard, bring people together.

Tasting the Fair Favorites

No fair visit is complete without classic fair foods. From cotton candy and funnel cakes to corn dogs and Maryland crab cakes, every bite is part of the experience. Walking from vendor to vendor, visitors enjoy flavors, aromas, and the festive atmosphere that make this event so beloved.

Live Music & Entertainment

The LIVE! ON TRACK! concert series continues during the final weekend:

  • Friday, September 5: Marshall Tucker Band with Orianthi
  • Saturday, September 6: Maddox Batson with Emma White and Ashley Anne
  • Sunday, September 7: Sunday Morning Tunes featuring Grateful Dead & Phish for Kids

Concerts begin at 7:00 PM, with gates opening at 6:00 PM. Lawn tickets are $40 and include fair admission, making it easy to enjoy a full day of rides, food, and live music.

Celebrating Maryland’s Agricultural Heritage

Beyond rides, the fair highlights Maryland’s agricultural roots. Guests can watch horse racing or explore livestock and 4-H exhibits, seeing firsthand the dedication of local farmers. It’s a perfect mix of fun and learning for visitors of all ages.

From Our Team at Xscape 2 Nature

Being part of Maryland means celebrating moments that bring our community together. Visiting the fair reminds us why we love creating outdoor spaces where friends and family can gather, play, and make memories — just like at the fair. Whether it’s a backyard patio, a poolside retreat, or a landscaped garden, we design spaces that capture the same joy and togetherness you feel at the Maryland State Fair.
